Beestar National Competition

An online math competition for elementary and middle school students that offers a challenging platform to test mathematical knowledge.

Mathleague.org

Mathleague.org organizes various math contests for elementary school students, providing opportunities to compete at local, state, and national levels.

Pi Math Contest (PiMC) Math Contest

AlphaStar Academy organizes an exciting Pi Math Contest (PiMC) which is for students up to 8th grade in two divisions. PiMC is offered online, annually as a single-round individual contest. Top scoring individuals are recognized on the contest page and get winner certificates as well as awards.

American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) 8

Although designed for middle school students, advanced elementary students may also participate in this contest, which includes challenging math problems.


The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. Most middle schools have students taking the AMC 8 directly in the schools however some schools may not do this. If you are in one of these schools or you are in elementary school, the AMC 8 can be taken at many other places such as Alphastar Academy, Stanford Math Circle, StarLeague, SpringLight Education, etc. Some middle schools also allow outside students, so you can also email the Math teachers in the middle school of your area.

MOEMS (Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools)

A series of contests held throughout the school year, providing students with opportunities to solve non-routine math problems.

(Division E for Elementary Schools) Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle Schools is a contest that has 5 challenging word problems. Contestants are given 30 minutes to solve as many problems as they can. There are 5 tests in a year (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March). Contestants are given 30 minutes to solve as many problems as they can. The awards are given based on cumulative scores for all 5 contests. You can request your school or teacher to sign up for the contest.

Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC)

A national contest that aims to challenge students and foster a love for problem-solving in mathematics.

The Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) is a semiannual problem solving contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

Math Kangaroo

An international competition with a focus on problem-solving and logical reasoning. It is open to students from grades 1 to 12. 


Math Kangaroo is a math contest with many puzzles and logic style problems. Many prizes are handed out to top 20 scorers across their state and the nation. You have to sign up at a test center from September to early December. There are  thousands of test centers across USA where you can take this test.
